RFK Jr. joined President-elect Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Elon Musk, and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) for a McDonald’s meal aboard a plane over the weekend, and the memes came fast and furious. Despite being tapped by Trump to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr. has previously criticized Trump’s fast food and Diet Coke-heavy habits.

“Campaign food is bad enough, but the stuff on that airplane is just poison,” Kennedy said last week. “You’re handed either KFC or Big Macs—there’s no choice.”

The former Democratic presidential hopeful, now an independent and Trump ally, has championed making America “healthy again,” but it seems that message hasn’t quite landed with his new circle. “Make America Healthy Again starts TOMORROW,” joked Trump Jr., who shared the now-infamous photo of the group. The image sparked a wave of RFK Jr.-focused memes, with users noting his less-than-enthusiastic expression.

“Holy shit, he actually did the meme,” one person quipped, referencing the Hide the Pain Harold meme. Another joked, “Bobby is trying to be a good sport but crying inside.” One user summed it up: “Making the new gang member do drugs to prove he’s not an undercover cop.”

Others speculated about whether RFK Jr. even touched the burger. “I want to see proof he actually bit into it,” wrote one skeptic. Another joked, “RFK Jr. can’t go full MAGA until the McDonald’s hazing ritual is complete.”

For his part, RFK Jr. hasn’t advocated banning McDonald’s as Health Secretary. In fact, he shared a post celebrating fast food as an American institution, though he hopes to bring back some old-school changes—like cooking fries in beef tallow instead of seed oils.
